Jill Patrice Bond, is the wife of Alan Bond and the mother of Reed, Stuart, Trent, and Bethany Kay Bond.  She thoroughly enjoys this role and finds it always challenging and very rewarding.

Background:

Jill grew up in Central Florida where all her family still lives (Haines City, Winter Haven area).  She and Alan married in 1981 and they traveled where ever the US Army took them — Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Fort Clayton, Republic of Panama.

After leaving the army, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they attended seminary and Alan worked for General Dynamics on "top secret" planes and some not so "top secret."

In 1991, they moved back to Florida and lived on the Space Coast where Alan served as an engineer with the booster rocket program.  Jill loves to tease him about being a "rocket scientist."

They took a year off from full-time work for a full-time ministry mid-1998 to mid-1999.

Near the end of 1999 Alan accepted a position back with his former company, Pratt Whitney, but this time down in West Palm Beach Fl.  They moved to the Treasure Coast in 1999, and hope to call it home for many years.

All told, the Bond family has moved to 17 different houses, (not including ministry office moves).

In her "spare time," she...

writes books teaching others how she manages her home

writes articles for newsletters and magazines

speaks at Ladies Retreats, Conventions, and Other events (from small groups to keynoting at a 60,000 ticket event)

operates a part-time "ministry," counseling other families on topics such as homeschooling, Christian living, setting priorities, and many more

receives grief from her computer

also, she quilts and gardens for the shear enjoyment of it.

She is the author of several books:

Dinner's in the Freezer!

Our Planet, His Creation (editor)

Writing to God's Glory

Mega-cooking

She writes a regular column for:

Crown Financial Concepts' Money Matters Newsletter

Home School Digest

Media:

Though she no longer has her own radio program, she is a regular guest on radio and television shows nation-wide.  For a season, she and Alan co-hosted a one-hour live talk radio program three days a week out of Carpenter's Home Church (the largest church in Florida), but it took too much time away from their family, so they resigned.

For booking information, contact her at speaking@bondingplace.com and she will put you in contact with the PR staff at her publisher.

Her "formal" educational background includes six colleges:

Continuing education courses via local community college (IRCC) and specific private classes

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary — master's program in Communications

Murray State University — master's program in Systems Management in the Industrial Engineering Department (from which a great deal of mega-cooking is based)

University of Central Florida — second undergraduate degree (Marketing)

Florida State University — first undergraduate degree (Arts)

Polk Community College — dual enrollment while in high school (Chemistry)

Her "informal" education is far more valuable:

almost twenty years of being Alan's wife

more than seventeen years being a mother

"homeschooling" all four from conception on

more than eighteen years mega-cooking™

more than eleven years teaching the concept of mega-cooking™

counseling, chatting with, learning from thousands of families via The Bondingplace ministry.

hundreds of volunteer hours with various clubs, support groups, associations, and churches.

intensive "hands-on," thrown into the deep-end experiences with:

Special needs parenting (specially autism) PREACCH ministry is an outgrowth of this baptism by life.

Diabetes, Type I (second son caught it from a virus -- overnight!)

Alternative methods for health (her personal medical history is "feet thick" — including: Asthma, Allergies, Sinus Problems, Deep-venal Thrombosis, IBS, Vertigo, Labyrinitisis,  Hypothyroidism, Hypoglycemia, Gallstones, Urinary Tract Infections, well, you get the idea. . .)  She writes: "This personal journey has served me well to learn ways to avoid common diet problems and to seek herbal remedies.  Though there have been times I have been on massive amounts of medications, I have been able to go for years with nothing but herbs and supplements . . . "
